A new nightspot will arrive in Norfolk's NEON district as soon as this summer.

A group of partners with their feet in the nightclub and event promotion industry plan to open an art-focused lounge called Culture in a long-vacant space at 814 Granby St., most recently home to a florist.

Partner Michael Copeland, whose background includes event planning for hotels in the area, says the new place will be as much restaurant lounge as nightlife venue, but that they do plan to offer a mix of live music and DJs.
