Lord Baltimore Hotel Introduces “Good Taste” Art Exhibition Series at LB Bakery

5/9/18

Hotel with dedication to the arts will feature local artists

The Lord Baltimore Hotel has announced the launch of an art exhibition series called “Good Taste” at the LB Bakery beginning June 1st. Good Taste will feature a local artist’s work quarterly.

“Baltimore is home to hundreds of galleries as well as local artists who are working to make their name known,” said General Manager Onahlea Shimunek. “Visitors can find beautiful murals and street art around every corner. We hope that with Good Taste, we can support these talented artists and the thriving arts scene.”

The exhibits, which will be available for viewing during the bakery’s normal hours of operation, will launch June 1st with artist Michael Bruley and his “History & Ghost Stories of the Lord Baltimore Hotel” series, inspired by the tales of hauntings by a little girl named Molly and her parents. An opening reception will take place at the hotel’s LB Skybar on June 1st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. featuring light fare and a cash bar.

“As a Rubell Hotel, art has always played a strong role at the Lord Baltimore Hotel,” said Shimunek. “While art is already prominently featured throughout the hotel, we want to use this as an opportunity to recognize the abundance of talent from Baltimore.”

The second exhibition of Good Taste will run from September through November featuring artwork by Baltimore native Joan Cox. The final exhibition of 2018 will run from December through the end of the year featuring artwork by Carol McClees.
