With nearly 70% of the residences sold at estate condominium community in Bethesda, newest model, The Lafayette, showcases area’s largest condominium residence

Quarry Springs, an “estate community” positioned on the site of the former Stoneyhurst Quarry on 8101 River Road, in the Bethesda section of Montgomery County, has unveiled a new decorated model that, at 5,900 square feet of space, represents the largest newly-built condominium available for sale in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, according to research from Metropolitan Regional Information Systems (MRIS). 1788 Holdings, LLC is the developer of the 13-acre Quarry Springs, with sales exclusively handled by The Mayhood Company.

“Our largest available condominium residence, The Lafayette, reflects the emerging trend that is now common among our target audience for one-level living space with high ceilings and a spacious design,” explained Larry J. Goodwin, Principal, 1788 Holdings. “The newest model responds to the current demand for extra-large kitchen and living room areas, coupled with extra rooms to support home offices or art rooms. Living spaces are also leveraging the use of the outdoors as secondary entertainment areas, and this model delivers with up to 2,170 square feet of terrace space.”

The three bedroom, three and one-half bathroom Lafayette offers 4,626 square feet of interior space and between 1,300 and 2,170 square feet of outdoor terrace, creating a condominium that offers up to 6,800 square feet of livable space. The model focuses on the core area of the living and dining room as spaces ideal for social conversation, with the space located adjacent to the kitchen ideally suited for intimate and everyday interaction. The overall design demonstrates a composition of crisp white marble and rich wood finishes, creating contrast and harmony. A dramatic feature of the Lafayette is an expansive sunroom with ceiling to floor windows that opens up to the terrace, presenting the perfect place to relax or dine. Creative seating is also arranged around the fireplace portion of the residence to highlight its use as a place to unwind or entertain.

“We have carefully researched and studied how consumers interact with their living spaces in today’s society, and each model design offers flexible floorplans that emphasize substance and the creative use of an open design to create expansive spaces,” Goodwin added. “The trend is to eschew walls and strive for living areas with the ability to maximize the use of natural sunlight and a feeling of freshness.

“Our buyers consist of consumers living in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area with the desire to remain close to their social connections, preferred dining venues and work locations in Tysons Corner, Potomac Village, Bethesda/Chevy Chase and northwest Washington, D.C. as well as four major country clubs,” Goodwin added. “We are also attracting out-of-towners that recognize the convenience of residing adjacent to the Capital Beltway, which provides quick connections to Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. and all sections of Montgomery County.”

Special design elements of the Quarry Springs condominium homes include direct entry elevators that enable residents to move privately from the garage to the foyer area, standard ten foot ceiling heights, marble kitchen countertops, seven inch plank hardwood flooring, state-of-the-art Wolf Bosch, Samsung and Sub-Zero kitchen appliances including a wine cooler and Waterworks spa bathroom fixtures.

The Estate Condominiums at Quarry Springs is a gated community with a 24-hour attended gatehouse, valet parking, a private clubhouse for residents and spacious grounds. For additional information visit www.quarrysprings.com
