H&R Retail, a retail real estate brokerage firm headquartered in Baltimore, is pleased to announce that Panda Express has signed a lease for a 2,200 square foot store at the Arundel Plaza located at 6626 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Panda Express is slated to open in Summer 2018 and will join Giant Foods, Lowes, Chipotle, MOD Pizza and FedEx Office.

Scott Yurow and Lawrence Hoffman, both principals of H&R Retail, represented the landlord, MCBH Arundel Plaza, LLC in the transaction. Panda Express, a fast-casual chain of Chinese food restaurants celebrated opening its 2,000th restaurant in December 2017. According to Lawrence Hoffman, “the redevelopment of this center has been well received by tenants and reflects a trend in grocery anchored centers in suburban markets.” He further notes, “landlords are working with anchor tenants to accommodate their current space needs and ensure the tenant mix in centers is complementary.”

Arundel Plaza is a 278,000 sq. ft. shopping center located at the northwest corner intersection of Governor Ritchie Highway (Route 2) and Ordinance Road (Route 710) in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The redevelopment/repositioning of the center was completed in Fall 2017. The redevelopment program includes an expanded and updated Giant Food store, redeveloped inline shops and other site improvements including additional parking.
