Baltimore Magazine Announces Rebrand and Name Change of Baltimore Bride

3/2/18

Baltimore Weddings will launch in 2019 to represent all couples

Baltimore magazine’s wedding publication, currently known as Baltimore Bride, hasannounced a complete rebrand of the magazine under the new name Baltimore Weddings. The name will officially change in 2019 for the magazine’s Spring/Summer issue, which will be on newsstands in January.

Baltimore Weddings’ mission will be to deliver unique content to Charm City couples that will inspire, inform and elevate their wedding day. The magazine’s purpose and commitment to its readers and advertisers will remain the same as it has since the publication debuted in 1997. Rebranding efforts will allow the magazine to be more inclusive towards the magazine’s diverse group of readers while content will remain focused around local weddings, feature shoots, curated inspiration for nuptials and an insider’s guide to substance and style that couples will only find in Baltimore.

“Weddings aren’t just about brides these days,” said Baltimore Weddings Managing Editor Janelle Diamond. “Over time we saw a disconnect between the magazine’s title and our favorite Charm City couples. We consider Baltimore Weddings a resource for every type of couple, and we want to make sure that all of our readers feel included.”

As a part of the rebranding efforts, readers can also expect a new website, which will reflect the magazine’s updated mission and goals. Baltimoreweds.com will go live December 4, 2018 in advance of the first issue of Baltimore Weddings.

Baltimore Weddings will remain attuned and connected to our captive audience in order to evolve and meet our readers’ needs,” said Diamond.

From the editors of Baltimore magazine, Baltimore Bride is a unique wedding-planning magazine that is a valuable resource for the discerning metro-area bride and groom due to its distinctive focus on the Baltimore area. Baltimore Bridehas gained widespread market recognition and acclaim among both readers and advertisers in central Maryland. From its popular features such as “Local Love” to its unparalleled resource list, Baltimore Bride highlights hundreds of local wedding professionals and provides compelling content for thousands of Charm City brides and grooms.

Baltimore magazine is the area’s most popular guide to the best of the greater Baltimore region. Its “Best of Baltimore,” “Top Doctors” and “Best Restaurants” features have become signatures of the magazine, and Baltimore’s monthly exploration of politics, food, business, lifestyle and the arts has earned numerous awards, including several City and Regional Magazine Awards (CRMA) and Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) awards.
