The Orioles and the Unites States Naval Academy announced a far-reaching partnership that will bring an Army-Navy doubleheader to Oriole Park at Camden Yards later this month.
As part of the collaboration, 1,000 midshipmen will get to attend a game at Camden Yards in August; the Orioles plan to play an exhibition game in Annapolis, Md., next March, and the Navy baseball team will travel to Sarasota, Fla., to train at the Orioles complex in future years.
The first event marking the partnership is the upcoming Army-Navy doubleheader at Camden Yards March 25. The games will start at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at orioles.com/navy and are $10 for general admission lower level seating, with all proceeds split evenly by the Naval Academy Athletic Association and the Fisher House Foundation. The Fisher House Foundation provides free lodging for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. There are Fisher House locations throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
