The Maryland men's basketball team defeated Iowa, 91-73, Jan. 7 to improve to 14-4 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten. Here are four observations on the victory:
1. The Terps played some of their best basketball of the year in the second half.
Hawkeyes sophomore guard Isaiah Moss gave Maryland fits all night, scoring 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting. His performance included eight straight points to give Iowa a 54-50 advantage less than four minutes into the second half after the Terps led by four at halftime.
