All branches of the Enoch Pratt Free Library will extend hours and remain open six days a week, CEO Heidi Daniel announced today. And rather than open on a staggered schedule, libraries across the city will all open at 10 a.m.
The central branch will be open seven days a week, with Sunday hours from 1-5 p.m. The increase comes after a five-year pledge of $3 million annually from the state and $750,000 annually from the city.
In her remarks, Daniel said the longer hours mean more than greater access to books.
