The Ravens activated running back Danny Woodhead from injured reserve Nov. 18, potentially giving a spark to their sputtering offense as they challenge for one of the final AFC playoff spots.

Woodhead is expected to be on the field when the Ravens (4-5) face the Green Bay Packers (5-4) at Lambeau Field Nov. 19. To make room for Woodhead on the 53-man roster, tight end Gavin Escobar was released.

Woodhead has been sidelined since injuring his hamstring early in the season opener. He had three catches for 33 yards and one rush for 4 yards in the only series he played before being injured, offering a sneak peak at the substantial role he was expected to play for the Ravens after signing a three-year, $8.8 million deal early in free agency.
