Despite Skid, Terps Men's Soccer Has 'No Shift In Expectations'

The University of Maryland men's soccer team is navigating uncharted territory as the postseason approaches, but the team's goals remain unchanged

The fourth-seeded Terps (10-4-3 overall, 5-1-2 Big Ten), who have won five consecutive postseason conference tournaments and all three since entering the Big Ten in 2014, prepare for their Big Ten quarterfinal matchup against visiting fifth-seeded Wisconsin (8-4-4, 4-3-1) Nov. 5 in the midst of a four-game losing streak -- all at home -- during which they have scored just one goal.

"There is no shift in expectations," Maryland head coach Sasho Cirovski said. "There are still important goals in front of us. The regular season, a couple of points here or there and you could have been first or fourth. That happens. We finished third a couple of years ago and had a good run. This group has experienced a lot of success, so we're going to build on that."
