Ravens Honor Former Tight End Konrad Reuland, Who Lives On Through Rod Carew

Former Baltimore Ravens tight end Konrad Reuland, who died in December 2016 at 29 from a brain aneurysm, was honored during the Ravens' 40-0 win against the Miami Dolphins Oct. 26.

Reuland's parents, Mary and Ralf, were on hand for an in-game tribute. Ravens receiver Griff Whalen, a teammate of Reuland's at Stanford, presented them with a game ball after the victory. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said during his postgame news conference that the team dedicated the win to Reuland.

"It was very emotional, because these are the guys that loved Konrad and he loved them," Mary said on Glenn Clark Radio Oct. 27, "and these were his comrades. These were the guys he was with and loved, truly, deep down to his heart. They played together, they cried together, they commiserated together, they won together.
