Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said quarterback Joe Flacco has "zero" concussion symptoms and Harbaugh sounded optimistic about Flacco's chances to play Nov. 5 at Tennessee after leaving the Oct. 26 game against the Miami Dolphins with a concussion.
Flacco has been in the concussion protocol since taking a shot to the head from linebacker Kiko Alonso as Flacco slid at the end of a scramble late in the second quarter. The blow to the head, which Harbaugh called "a vicious type of a hit," knocked Flacco's helmet off, sliced his left ear and left the Ravens quarterback visibly woozy. Flacco was immediately taken to the locker room and did not return to the game, which the Ravens won, 40-0.
Flacco's availability for the Week 9 game against the Titans has been a popular subject since the Dolphins game ended, and Harbaugh said "there's a good chance" that Flacco would be under center in Tennessee in six days, though he cautioned the decision lies with the medical professionals.
