On Oct. 22, wide receiver Griff Whalen played as many snaps (58) as any offensive skill position player on the Ravens during their 24-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Four days earlier, he wasn't even in the NFL.
The Ravens released Whalen during final roster cuts Sept. 1. However, the team told him it could see a role for him in the coming season.
Following a slew of injuries at receiver, Whalen was ready when the Ravens needed him.
