Five Impressions From The Ravens' Loss At Minnesota

A Ravens season that began optimistically with two straight AFC North wins now has the feel of spinning out of control after a 24-16 loss in Minnesota Oct. 22 sent the Ravens to their fourth loss in five games.

An anticlimactic, final-play pass to Chris Moore was the Ravens' lone touchdown, their only offensive touchdown in their past 2 1/2 games. Here are five quick impressions after a game that gave the Ravens (3-4) a losing record for the first time this season.

1. This offense could ill afford to lose one wide receiver, let alone three.

After investing so heavily in their defense in the offseason -- choosing not to draft any skill position players on offense and then bypassing the receiver position in free agency until Jeremy Maclin surprisingly became available in June -- the Ravens' offense entered the season banking on Maclin, Mike Wallace and several unproven options at wide receiver.
