Shultz Legal announces today its opening in Baltimore County. Focusing on workers’ compensation and personal injury litigation, the firm will serve the needs of Maryland victims to ensure their rights are met within the court systems.
“I grew up in West Virginia where my grandfather led a walkout at Urban Carbide to ensure he and his coworkers had the right to collectively bargain,” states Jason Shultz, Principal Attorney, Shultz Legal. “Since then, I have built my career fighting for the rights of union members and am proud to leverage my experience to continue to protect not only union members, but also police officers and anyone else who has suffered an injury on the job.”
Shultz has been recognized as a “Top Rated Workers’ Compensation Attorney” and “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers annually since 2014. Those recognized as Rising Stars are selected by a dozen of their peers in the legal field. Shultz also currently sits on the Board of Governors for the Maryland Association of Justice (MAJ) and is co-chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of MAJ.
“I never want to see anyone suffering or not having access to the compensation they are entitled to receive,” says Shultz. “By opening Shultz Legal, our mission is to make sure that injured workers’ understand their rights when injured on the job and to take power away from the insurance companies and put it back in the hands of the injured worker. The culture here is one of extreme client focus and partnership.”
Shultz is joined by Katie Riccitelli, the firm’s client advocate. “Katie brings to bear years’ experience working on behalf of victims of work and personal injuries,” notes Shultz. “With a degree from Towson University in business law, she boasts a rich academic as well as professional skillset that will be vital to Shultz Legal as we continue to grow and expand throughout Maryland.”
