After shutting out the Cincinnati Bengals to open the season, the Ravens' defense had another outstanding performance against the Cleveland Browns Sept. 17, forcing five turnovers.
In attendance at the Browns game were members of the Super Bowl-winning 2000 Ravens team, which had one of the most dominant defenses in NFL history. The 2017 season is just two weeks old, but the defense's performance thus far is reminiscent of the 2000 unit.
Former Ravens head coach Brian Billick and former Ravens edge defender Adalius Thomas, who were both part of the 2000 team, joined Glenn Clark Radio last week. Billick was asked if the present-day defense could stack up to his team's defense in 2000.
