The Ravens promoted cornerback Tony McRae and running back Alex Collins from the practice squad to the 53-man roster Sept. 16, and in corresponding roster moves, they placed cornerback Sheldon Price on injured reserve (concussion) and waived running back Jeremy Langford just two days after he was promoted to the active roster.
McRae, undrafted out of North Carolina A&T, briefly was with the Oakland Raiders in the spring of 2016, then spent time with the Bengals practice squad last season and during training camp this year before being cut. He has not appeared in a regular-season game.
Before promoting McRae, the Ravens were down to three healthy cornerbacks (Brandon Carr, Jimmy Smith and Marlon Humphrey), with undrafted rookie Jaylen Hill ruled out for his second straight game with a hamstring injury.
