Orioles Lose Sixth Straight As Zach Britton Allows Two Late Runs

As the season slips away from the Orioles, the defeats become more painful.

After seizing a one-run lead on shortstop Tim Beckham's eighth-inning home run, Zach Britton showed again that he's not infallible.

The Orioles' closer, whose American League record 60 consecutive converted save streak ended Aug. 23, blew his second save of the season, allowing two runs in the ninth during a 3-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays.

It was the Orioles' sixth straight loss, and their record falls to 71-74. They have just 17 games remaining and trail Minnesota by 4.5 games for the second wild card.
