Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco acknowledged that his long layoff because of a back injury is "not ideal," but he has had no setbacks since returning to practice Sept. 2, and he said he has no concerns about taking the field for the season opener at Cincinnati Sept. 10.
"It's not ideal," Flacco said Sept. 6 in his first session with the media since the start of training camp, "but I feel good now and I'm ready to go."
Flacco came to training camp with what he described as tightness in his lower back, an injury that was originally expected to sideline him about a week. Instead, the injury lingered through the duration of the preseason, giving Flacco what he described as "a very long and boring break."
