Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Aug. 29 that quarterback Joe Flacco has begun throwing again and should return to the field "real soon," although he has not yet received medical clearance to resume practicing after sustaining a back injury that has lingered throughout training camp.
An injury that was initially expected to cost Flacco about a week of training camp has lasted for the entire preseason, raising legitimate concerns about when he will return and how quickly this offense can get up to speed upon his return.
With just a light walkthrough scheduled for Aug. 30 in advance of the final preseason game the next night at New Orleans, the entire preseason has come and gone without Flacco taking part.
