After being recalled from Triple-A Norfolk, Orioles left-hander Donnie Hart threw a scoreless seventh inning and picked up the win when the Orioles defeated the Seattle Mariners, 7-6, Aug. 28. But the Orioles weren't the only thing on his mind.
Hart is from Katy, Texas, about 30 miles west of Houston, and he has many friends and relatives who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey.
"Obviously, I've been pretty distracted," Hart said Aug. 28. "I spent most of the ride up here from Norfolk today on the phone. In fact, I had to plug my phone in because it had almost went dead."
