Ravens wide receiver Keenan Reynolds, the former Navy quarterback who is an officer in the Navy Reserve, said it was a "huge honor" to take part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as part of the Ravens' team-building trip Aug. 21.
"Being able to lay the wreath was a huge honor for me," Reynolds said. "[It was a] very sobering moment hearing 'Taps' play and being right in front of that, and just thinking about the ultimate sacrifice that men and women have given to our country. ... I'm awesomely blessed to be in this country and be a part of this nation's military."
The Ravens canceled practice Aug. 21 for a team-building excursion that included a tour of the Pentagon, a visit to John F. Kennedy's grave at Arlington National Cemetery and a wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
