Since joining PressBox in 2015, I've written more about former Ravens wide receiver Anquan Boldin than could be deemed reasonable considering he hasn't played a snap for the team since it won Super Bowl XLVII in February 2013.
There's nothing more to be said about the Ravens' decision to trade Boldin to the San Francisco 49ers for next to nothing (a sixth-round pick) after winning the Super Bowl. It was a decision that did not need the benefit of hindsight to be recognized as horrendous. Not only was it the worst move in franchise history, but it was arguably one of the worst personnel decisions made in recent NFL history.
But I'm not here to revisit that. Not anymore. I'm not "over" it. I've stated on a number of occasions that when something is such an obvious mistake and the result is exactly what you'd expect, you'll never be "over" it. Ravens fans will never get over the team dealing Boldin away. Orioles fans will never get over closer Zach Britton sitting in the Toronto bullpen to … catch flying beer cans? … in the 2016 wild-card game. It's just kind of what it is.
