Former Hopkins Swimming Coach George Kennedy Ends Retirement To Assist At Loyola

George Kennedy just couldn’t stay away.

After 31 distinguished seasons as the men’s and women’s swimming head coach at Johns Hopkins, Kennedy announced his retirement after the 2015-16 season. But it only took a year before Kennedy decided he wanted to be back on the pool deck.

Kennedy’s return to collegiate swimming will take place at Loyola University, where he will serve as an assistant to longtime Greyhounds head coach Brian Loeffler.
