Ravens third-string quarterback Josh Woodrum is not likely to supplant Ryan Mallett as the Ravens’ No. 2 quarterback, but as third-string quarterbacks often will do in August, Woodrum is making the most of his opportunity.
And after recounting the never-give-up determination that landed him in Baltimore, and the inspiration he draws from his younger brother, Woodrum has developed something of a following among Ravens fans.
Woodrum was one of the stars of the Ravens' 31-7 win over the Dolphins in Miami Aug. 17, as he completed eight of 10 passes for 110 yards and ran for two touchdowns, including an impressive, 14-yard scamper on a rollout after a nice play-fake sucked in the defense.
