Taylor Sebolao Leads Towson Women's Soccer Into Battle Of Baltimore

Taylor Sebolao didn't play in the first Battle of Baltimore. But the performance of Towson's redshirt senior goalkeeper in the 2017 edition of the local tournament could determine whether the Tigers will continue their successful run in the kickoff event that features the area's four NCAA Division I women's soccer teams.

Following a 2016 hiatus, the Battle of Baltimore will return Aug. 18 when Towson travels to UMBC and Loyola hosts Mount St. Mary's. Two days later, the event concludes with Loyola visiting Towson and Mount St. Mary's hosting UMBC.

Sebolao was watching from the sideline when Loyola swept the inaugural Battle of Baltimore in 2014 with shutout victories against Towson and Mount St. Mary's. But she was at the forefront when the Tigers went undefeated during the 2015 event. Sebolao earned All-Tournament honors after posting consecutive shutouts of Mount St. Mary's (4-0) and Loyola (1-0).
