As the MLB non-waiver trade deadline passed at 4 p.m. July 31, the Orioles ended up not trading left-handed closer Zach Britton, right-handed reliever Brad Brach or anyone else from the current 25-man roster.
With reports circulating of the Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers showing interest in Britton, none of the deals materialized.
Instead, the Orioles acquired infielder Tim Beckham from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for minor league right-hander Tobias Myers.
