In a day, the non-waiver trade deadline arrives. Orioles manager Buck Showalter said that he won’t necessarily be relieved at 4 p.m. on July 31.
"It’s a false deadline. There’s going to be a trade made two days after it’s over," Showalter said. "The only relief will come from the players taking a little sigh, probably. As much as we try to act like that it’s not it…if it’s important to the players, it should be important to you."
Showalter predicts "there are going to be some really significant names change teams after the trade deadline."
