Here are this week's rankings:

1. Los Angeles Dodgers (61-29 overall record, No. 2 ranking last week) -- Manager Dave Roberts' club has shifted into high gear with a 26-6 run during the past five weeks. Veteran starter Rich Hill is a pedestrian 5-4 with a 3.69 ERA, but Alex Wood is 10-0 with a 1.67 ERA.

2. Houston Astros (60-29, No. 1) -- They still look like the American League's best team on paper, but ace Dallas Keuchel's injury lingers and is a significant cause for concern. Offensively, they are an elite ballclub.
