During one Ravens spring workout open to the media, it seemed as if running back Danny Woodhead touched the ball on every offensive snap. Might that be a preview of the regular season?
To be sure, Woodhead is not expected to anchor a Ravens running game that features Terrance West and Kenneth Dixon -- once the promising second-year back serves his four-game suspension. Woodhead has averaged only about five carries a game during his eight-year career.
But Woodhead could be a major part of the Ravens' passing attack, especially given the way quarterback Joe Flacco and offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg leaned on the short-passing game last season.
