For a moment, Jonathan Schoop was worried. The Orioles second baseman saw third base coach Bobby Dickerson waiting for him, and he didn't know why.
Dickerson began talking to him. "I'll miss you. Don't forget about me if you go somewhere," Dickerson told Schoop. "Like I got traded or something," Schoop said.
Schoop was told manager Buck Showalter wanted to talk to him, and he said he felt uneasy. "In the principal's office, did I do something wrong?" Schoop said.
