Here are this week's rankings:

1. Houston Astros (56-27 overall record, No. 1 ranking last week) -- A gigantic lead in the American League West won't deter general manager Jeff Luhnow from acquiring at least one big-time starting pitcher at the trade deadline.

2. Los Angeles Dodgers (55-29, No. 2) -- Closer Kenley Jansen is right about Dodgers fans' lack of passion for the home-team's All-Star-caliber players, but he may have inadvertently made fans realize how disappointing the team's results have been the past few seasons.
