Long road trips, bus rides and operating on short sleep are a few things minor league players have come to expect when they begin their careers as professional baseball players.
Not all of them figure to be on nine teams and in four organizations in five seasons, however.
That usually would not be a good sign for a young player, but Triple-A Norfolk Tides outfielder Adam Brett Walker has put up solid power numbers -- 135 home runs and .488 slugging percentage in 621 games spread across rookie ball all the way up to Triple-A -- in addition to batting .250 with a .308 OBP.
