After another one-sided loss, the Orioles made another move in their taxed bullpen, recalling right-hander Stefan Crichton from Triple-A Norfolk and optioning right-hander Miguel Castro to Double-A Bowie June 24.
It’s the sixth stint with the Orioles this season for Crichton, who has an 8.49 ERA during his five stints with the team. Crichton has been with the Orioles a total of 20 days this season.
At Norfolk, Crichton has had success. He’s 4-0 with a 1.23 ERA in 5 games.
When Crichton arrived at Tropicana Field, he said he hadn’t counted the number of trips to the major leagues.
