Baltimore Ravens running backs coach Thomas Hammock approached Lorenzo Taliaferro last season about changing the third-year pro's position from ball-carrier to fullback.
Taliaferro was on the injured reserve for the second time in two seasons, and while Hammock hadn't said anything definite at the time regarding a move to fullback, Taliaferro mulled it over. He knew fullback Kyle Juszczyk's contract was expiring after the season.
Shortly after the season ended, Hammock again approached Taliaferro. This time, he told the Yorktown, Va., native to start studying the playbook to be ready for OTAs.
