For the first time since early May, Zach Britton was back in the Orioles’ clubhouse June 16. Britton threw a simulated game in Frederick June 15, and the left-handed closer was happy with how it went.
"Facing hitters for the first time in a while. Physically felt great. That’s what it kind of was all about," Britton said. "Woke up this morning, felt great again. Progress has been really, really good lately, and I’ve had no setbacks off the mound. I’m feeling really good now, and I just have to get back in game form, and then I’ll be ready to go."
Britton is on the 10-day disabled list with a strained left forearm. He’s scheduled to pitch the first inning for Short Season-A Aberdeen on June 19.
