Kristi Halford Named Chief Development Officer for Girl Scouts of Central Maryland

Kristi S. Halford has been named the new Chief Development Officer for the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland. She will begin June 1, 2017. 

Halford has more than 15 years of experience in development, communications, and marketing. Prior to joining the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, she served as the Foundation Director for Harford County Public Library where she was responsible for all individual giving, major gifts, and capital campaigns; and implementing effective donor cultivation, recognition and stewardship strategies. 

She has also served as Director of Marketing and Communications for the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore; Senior Account Executive for Nevins & Associates; Director of Marketing for Downtown Partnership of Baltimore; and Director of Public Relations and Marketing for the Maryland Historical Society. 

She has extensive experience in developing collaborative partnerships, cultivating donors, supporting strategic planning, creating effective marketing and communications campaigns, and fundraising through sponsorships, grants and individual and major gifts.

Halford holds a bachelor's degree in communication arts from Notre Dame of Maryland University, where she serves as Vice President of the alumnae executive board and chairs its Networking and Leadership Committee. 

She is an active community volunteer who serves on several boards and advisory committees including Urban Alliance, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake, Sharp Dressed Man and WOW Baltimore Partnership Board.
