Historically, Yankee Stadium has never been friendly for the Baltimore Orioles. Since 1998, the Orioles have lost 18 of their last 20 season series there.
After this weekend's sweep at the hands of the New York Yankees, the best the Orioles can do in 2017 would be a split of the 10 games played there this season. They would need a four-game sweep in September to accomplish that.
The Orioles can only hope they're relevant in September. The team's 14-3 loss to New York June 11 before a sellout crowd of 46,348 was another sobering reminder that the season may already be slipping away.
