McDonogh's Maddie Jenner was the most dominant player for the nation's most powerful girls' lacrosse program. The junior singlehandedly took over games and frustrated opponents with her skills. This season, Jenner had 165 draw controls in 22 games. She also scored 44 goals on 73 shots and had four assists.
Jenner, who has competed in the Under Armour Underclass Tournament, was able to accumulate those stats despite not playing in the second half of many games -- when the starters gave way to the reserve players because the Eagles had significant leads. McDonogh won its ninth consecutive Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland "A" conference title May 13 against Notre Dame Prep. The Eagles finished the season 22-0, extending their national record winning streak to 177 games.
"She improved immensely this year as an offensive player recording the second-most goals on the team," McDonogh head coach Chris Robinson said. "In the championship game, we won 20-23 draws between Maddie and her midfield teammates who scooped up anything that she did not get herself."
