Junior Jacob Kelly led Calvert Hall to its first Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association "A" conference title since 2012 and third overall. The Cardinals (17-2) capped a stellar season with a 12-6 victory against defending champion McDonogh in the title game at Johns Hopkins May 25. Kelly was the force behind Calvert Hall's impressive run, finishing the season with 47 goals and 44 assists for 91 points.
"Jacob does it all for us," said Calvert Hall head coach Bryan Kelly, who is Jacob's father. "He led the team in goals, assists and overall points. He led the team in caused turnovers on the ride. He is a complete player. He is very efficient. He is one of the smartest players to go through Calvert Hall. He is the quarterback of our offense."
Jacob Kelly is a three-year varsity player and was a captain this past season. He is also a member of the FCA Maryland Club and Under Armour underclassman teams, and he received the C. Markland Kelly Award as the top player among private schools in the North region of Maryland.
