A third area schools superintendent is on her way out the door, this time in the private realm.
Barbara McGraw Edmonson, superintendent of schools for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, has accepted a top role with the Arlington, Va.-based National Catholic Educational Association, the archdiocese announced yesterday. She’ll be overseeing more than 6,400 Catholic schools as the NCEA’s chief leadership and program officer, a big jump from the 69 schools (66 after three close this summer) she oversees in the Baltimore area.
In a statement, Edmonson she’s excited to take the next step.
