Baker Donelson Attorneys Leslie Demaree Goldsmith and Matthew Horton Recognized as Top Authors in JD Supra's 2017 Readers' Choice Awards

A shareholder in Baker Donelson's Baltimore office, Ms. Goldsmith has more than 25 years of experience representing health care providers such as hospitals, home health agencies and skilled nursing facilities. She provides advice on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and regulatory issues involving conditions of payment and conditions of participation. Ms. Goldsmith is the co-editor of Payment Matters,Baker Ober Health Law's publication on Medicare/Medicaid issues, and authored more than 23 articles in 2016, which were published on JD Supra, drawing more than 18,000 views.

Mr. Horton is an associate in the Firm's Baltimore office, representing health care providers and organizations in a broad range of health law matters. He has experience in advising clients on alternative payment models, regulatory issues, and fraud and abuse matters. Prior to joining Baker Donelson, he was a law clerk with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the Inspector General. Mr. Horton is also a regular contributor to the Firm's Payment Matters publication, authoring 15 articles in 2016 which were published on JD Supra and received more than 9,500 views.
