Hopkins Appoints Christopher C. Morphew Dean of Education School

A leading education academic is coming from Iowa to Baltimore to lead Johns Hopkins University’s School of Education.

Hopkins announced today that President Ronald J. Daniels and Provost Sunil Kumar have tapped Christopher C. Morphew, the University of Iowa’s executive associate dean for research and innovation, to travel east to helm Hopkins’ education graduate school.

Morphew has been a top administrator at Iowa for three years, overseeing a rapid expansion of the College of Education’s research, including in the field of human development and learning. He specializes in higher ed research, studying the missions of colleges and universities, state higher education policy and university and college marketing and communications.
