The Baltimore Ravens have agreed in principle to a four-year contract with free agent cornerback Brandon Carr, general manager/executive vice president Ozzie Newsome announced March 16
Carr, 30, enters his 10th NFL season after never missing a start in his career (144-consecutive games) while playing for the Dallas Cowboys (2012-16) and Kansas City Chiefs (2008-11). The 6-0, 210-pounder has registered 477 tackles, 15 interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), 109 passes defensed, nine fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
Carr's 144-consecutive starts rank as the NFL's longest active streak among cornerbacks, with the next closest being Arizona CB Patrick Peterson (96). (Carr's 144 rank sixth among all active NFL players.)
