Fan Outcry Aside, MLB's On Right Track With Proposed Rule Changes

If there's one thing we can say with certainty, it's that sports fans are always receptive to the idea of change. Except, actually, it's the exact opposite.

Change appears to be coming to baseball.

In an effort to speed up the game, we already know MLB has proposed raising the strike zone to try and force more action, and it's also considering no longer requiring pitchers to throw four balls for an intentional walk. As of Feb. 8, we know baseball is going to experiment with having extra innings begin with a runner on second base. In fact, according to Yahoo! Sports, the experiment will begin with the upcoming World Baseball Classic.
