After a 1-1 week, the University of Maryland men's basketball team dropped to No. 22 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 21 in the AP poll, released Feb. 6.
Gonzaga (24-0) retains the top spot in both polls, followed by Villanova (22-2), Kansas (20-3) and Louisville (19-4).
Maryland is now 20-3 on the season, with an 8-2 record in Big Ten play. During the past week, the Terps defeated Ohio State, 77-71, on the road Jan. 31 and lost to Purdue, 73-72, at home Feb. 4. It was the Terps' first loss since they fell to Nebraska, 67-65, Jan. 1. Maryland remains undefeated on the road this season.
