Jones was supportive of the Orioles re-signing slugger Mark Trumbo and likes the addition of Seth Smith. But an outfield of Hyun Soo Kim in left and Smith in right flanking Jones isn't defensively strong.
The center fielder has won four Gold Gloves, but none since 2014, and with Boston's Jackie Bradley, Tampa Bay's Kevin Kiermaier and Toronto's Kevin Pillar added to the American League East during the past few years, Jones' chances to win another fielding award have diminished.
