After a 2-0 week, the University of Maryland men's basketball team continues to climb up the rankings in the USA Today Coaches Poll and AP poll, released Jan. 30.
In the AP Top 25, the Terps jumped five spots to No. 17, and in the Coaches Poll, Maryland moved up six spots to No. 17.
Gonzaga (22-0) takes over the top spot in both polls, with Baylor (20-1) coming in at No. 2 in the AP Top 25 and Kansas (19-2) taking the second spot in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Maryland is now 19-2 on the season, with a 7-1 record in Big Ten play. During the past week, the Terps defeated Rutgers, 67-55, at home Jan. 24 and picked up another road win with an 85-78 victory against Minnesota Jan. 28. Maryland boasts a six-game winning streak and is undefeated on the road this season.
