Baltimore's Gervonta Davis defeated Jose Pedraza Jan. 14 to capture the IBF junior lightweight title.
After the fight, Davis' trainer, Calvin Ford, spoke with PressBox's Matt Stovall about the 22-year-old's journey to the championship and what the accomplishment means for Baltimore.
"I wanted him to put on a good show for the world," Ford said, while giving credit to everyone who helped Davis get to this point.
Ford also reflected on the impact of the win for the young boxers following in Davis' footsteps.
