Ravens Take Blame After Loss To Patriots

"Man, alive!" "Geez!" "Doggone it!"

Those were just some of the admonitions coming from the media podium Dec. 15 when the Ravens -- traditionally, as focused a team as there is -- were still lamenting their Dec. 12 loss in New England.

All told, the Ravens outwardly showed their determination to make up for the defeat and to not tolerate any further lapses.

After a practice that saw wideout Steve Smith Sr. throw his helmet and kick a football in frustration after being overthrown twice -- he would only say later, "Because I felt like it" -- head coach John Harbaugh gathered his team together and appeared to deliver a strongly worded message urging them to get their act together.
